Magpie

This morning, the split second between being awake and being asleep, an idea for a new blog design flashed into my head.

I promise the difficult to read black background will be gone, and something lighter and airier will blow away the stuffy old design.

Skatan i rönnbärsträdet. The magpie in the rowan tree.

I haven’t begun coding it yet, and I’m trying to go for a more free, handmade flowing feeling. Since none of my art supplies have arrived yet, I used Corel Painter Essentials 3. I think it came with my drawing pad. Its features are extremely limited, but for sketching out a more traditional-looking digital piece, it works alright.

Here’s a sneak-peek at the magpie. :)
