I'm reading this right now...

“Matter” by Iain M. Banks. I can’t put it down. Actually, you probably shouldn’t read the wikipedia link I provided above. I accidentally read some spoilers I really didn’t want to know, just by skimming the damn thing. Read this one instead, about a big faction in his novels, The Culture.

Even when my eyes hurt, I keep reading it. It’s not even the best Banks-book I’ve read, but I’m still horribly hooked!

I love the world in the book. It’s proof that sci fi and fantasy can interact without either of them  having to resort to clichés. Lovely. Warmly recommended.

If it weren’t for the fact that I predict a 6:30 am wake-up complete with an ouverture of hammers, drills, and shouting workmen from downstairs, I would go read it now.
