Cabling boxes

Scattered throughout Israel were these decorated boxes. Many of them belonged to the cable tv company HOT, but others were not. It seems as though they comissioned or allowed various artists (or students?) to paint the boxes in an effort to beautify the area.

Not all were even as pretty as these (which I must say have a certain naivistic feel to them), but I saw none with any grafitti or sticker-litter on them, so I guess the “underground public beautification movement” approves.
